Typically, facials address signs of aging (fine lines, wrinkles, and dry patches), improve damaged skin from the sun (dark spots, rough texture, and uneven tone), deep cleanse to help clogged pores and acne, and brighten sallow and dull skin. Medical-grade facials can help teens or adults with conditions, like acne outbreaks, rosacea, and sensitive skin. We can strengthen the effects of a facial by combining another treatment, such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, or a Zemits Hydro Luxx.

MEDICAL FACIAL FAQ

PROCEDURE TECHNIQUE?

Following a consultation to create your unique treatment plan based on your skin’s condition and needs, you can relax in one of our private treatment rooms as your facial treatment begins. Every facial process is personalized; however, most will start with a deep cleansing to clear away dirt, oil, and makeup. After the skin is clean, steam is used to open the pores, allowing the esthetician to easily extract whiteheads and blackheads. Often, this step is followed by a type of exfoliation, either completed by hand or with an add-on treatment (microdermabrasion, chemical peel or Zemits Hydro Luxx). We may massage a serum or mask into the skin for deep nourishment. Lastly, an SPF moisturizer is applied to protect the skin from sun damage after the treatment.

YOUR FACIAL AND WHAT TO EXPECT?

Following your facial, you may see mild redness and/or irritation, but this should subside on its own within 24 hours. Many patients will see clear improvements in the appearance and texture of their skin immediately after a facial treatment. However, your skin might break out a few days after the facial due to your skin clearing out the toxins within. This symptom will clear after a couple of days. To extend the results of your customized medical facial, our medical estheticians will consult you on developing a home skin care routine and how often to schedule a facial treatment at Versailles Medical Spa. You may also want to discuss additional treatments, such as chemical peels, Zemits Hydro Luxx, and microdermabrasion.

I had my treatments with Amanda and I could not be any happier. I was a little nervous since it was my first time receiving a medical peel and few other services, but she talked me through the process and explained each of the steps thoroughly and kindly. She even contacted me a day later to check in and make sure I felt ok and if I was satisfied with the results.

She was very professional, knowledgeable, and very patient with me putting my nerves at ease. She answered all my questions and was very attentive to my needs. It was my first time getting Botox and doing a Fraxel laser treatment and I honestly couldn’t be any happier with the results.
