How are thread lifts performed?

During your initial consultation, our team will discuss your goals for the procedure before determining which threading option to utilize for your face. On the day of the procedure, our staff will mark your face with the entrance and exit points of the sutures. At this point, a local anesthetic will be injected into the targeted area to ensure your utmost comfort throughout the procedure. Finally, the absorbable sutures will be threaded through the designated entrance and exit points, lifting the facial skin along the way. From start to finish, this procedure usually lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.

What to expect after a PDO Threads?

Minor redness and bruising are not uncommon side effects following the procedure but usually subside on their own within 1-2 weeks. As time passes, the sutures will dissolve into the skin, which serves as a way to promote the production of collagen in the area. Most patients are able to return to work within three days of the procedure, but should wait at least two weeks before performing physical activities, such as working out. The results of the procedure will vary from patient to patient, but most people see consistent improvements in their face for 2-3 years after undergoing a thread lift.

I had my treatments with Amanda and I could not be any happier. I was a little nervous since it was my first time receiving a medical peel and few other services, but she talked me through the process and explained each of the steps thoroughly and kindly. She even contacted me a day later to check in and make sure I felt ok and if I was satisfied with the results.

She was very professional, knowledgeable, and very patient with me putting my nerves at ease. She answered all my questions and was very attentive to my needs. It was my first time getting Botox and doing a Fraxel laser treatment and I honestly couldn’t be any happier with the results.
